A transit is the current position of a planet compared to the birth chart. The Moon may move through Capricorn today. Mercury may aspect your Sun. Venus may cross your 7th house. These movements are not equally loud for everyone. They matter most when they connect with the placements, houses, and angles in your own chart.
This is why generic horoscopes can feel close one day and empty the next. They usually speak to a broad sign-based audience. A chart-based transit reading asks a sharper question: what is the sky touching in you?
Fast And Slow Weather
The Moon changes quickly, shaping daily emotional tone. Mercury, Venus, and Mars move at a middle pace, describing communication, relationship, desire, and action. Jupiter and Saturn move more slowly, marking growth, constraint, responsibility, and longer lessons. Outer planets can describe deep collective and generational shifts when they hit personal points.
A good daily reading does not treat every transit as equally important. It chooses the contacts with the strongest relevance and explains the likely field of experience without pretending to guarantee an event.
Transits describe conditions. They do not remove your agency.
Using Transits Well
Ask what is being activated, what has been repeating, and what kind of response would be mature. A difficult transit may not be punishment. It may be pressure asking for structure. A beautiful transit may not be rescue. It may be ease asking to be used well.
Celestial's Today screen is built around this: the day's sky, translated through the chart that belongs to the person reading it.
